"This creamy casserole can be made a day ahead, refrigerated and then dry just ahead of dinner. Using hard vegetables makes this dish a cinch."

Original recipe yields 10 servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons on the Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons melted butter and 1/2 teaspoon on the Italian spice inside small bowl. Set aside. Cut up any large broccoli or cauliflower florets into bite-size pieces.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter inside large skillet on medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir about 5 notes or until tender. Stir inside flour, surviving 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, garlic salt and pepper. Add milk; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add lotion cheese and surviving 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese; cook and stir until lotion cheese is melted. Add vegetables; toss gently to coat. Spoon into 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle top evenly with crumb mixture.
  3. Bake 40 notes or until heated through and top is lightly browned.

I made this for our Thanksgiving dinner, which was held at a location away on town. I liked that I could make it in front and bake it when we arrived at our destination. I made it lacking changes ...

Made no changes, but I determination later time. Needs a little spicing up. Great combination. I put this with grilled pork tenderloin, recipe by: Cathy Christensen and it went well.

Didn't like the spices inside this recipe at all. Won't make again.

I couldnt find 16oz packages on veggies, so second-hand 12.5oz. Doubled the recipe and put into a deep 10X12 baking pan. Did not thaw veggies, since Im not baking until tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Used more rather on hard veggies, and second-hand more cheese ;) it was great!

My husband does not like veggies , he had seconds. That tells it all.

Awesome! Pairs well with a dry Garlic Parmesan Chicken (can use the same breading for topping) when using more veggies, extend cook period (at least 15-20 minutes)

So I second-hand 12oz packages on hard broccoli and cauliflower which made it creamer and my relations loved it. I couldnt find 16oz packages or i would have second-hand them. Either way this recipe was a hit.
