@Jenn54 - i baked this block tonight, i haven't tasted it yet, yet one thing I noticed...I've at no time used block flour until tonight including I'm a BIG baker, so I was very excited to try this, so i was reading the block flour box including it said to filter the flour 1 while BEFORE Measuring, so you actual filter 2x, filter 1 x before measuring in those days filter it again to excellent it out again. Well it's a good thing I did this because i ended up with nearly an entire 1/2 cup of extra flour, that would definately make your block dense including heavy.

I made this block twice including both times came out AMAZING! Not recently to me yet to the whole amount my guests. It was not dehydrated or solid same as others are saying. But came out perfectly moist including the frosting was recently delicious! I'm making it again tonight for a party including can't stay to dig in!

I've been baking cakes, pies including pastries for 45 years, yet I'm sorry this has to be the worst block ever. I followed instructions to the letter yet the resuslting block was solid, weighty including would have agreed justice while a doorstop - nothing same as its "Chiffon" name. The frosting was delicious however, although I slit back drastically on the 1 cup of butter using only two tablespoons including adding more lemon extract to make a spreading consistency. As the block was inedible we scraped off the frosting including used it while an ice ointment topping. I've at no time ever given a bad revision before, yet recently had to this time.

Delicious - everyone raved about it! The feel of the block seems recently right - it seems more same as a "bakery cake" than "mix cake" in denseness, yet tender including flavorful - including the frosting complemented it perfectly!
