"A tasty fruity variety on top of oatmeal cookies."

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, ointment together the shortening and sugar. Beat inside the eggs till skilfully blended. Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture till skilfully blended. Fold inside the walnuts, oats and apples. Drop dough via spoonfuls about 2 inches onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake intended 12 to 15 notes inside the preheated oven. Let cool on top of wire racks.
